Summary: Okay, time for the final bout of hairy, scary 8-leggers in this decade. It's a bit forgettable, but we highly doubt that these things would be funnier when Sam Jackson is complaining about pests on his plane. Food for thought for another few decades...

History: We can't tell who's more at fault here. Is it the schmucks who wanted to smuggle bags of coffee beans into the U.S. for personal gain, or the idiots who forgot to check the bags for hyper-deadly tarantulas first? Either way, those arachnids are on a one-way cruise to California, with all the havoc that implies.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After the tarantulas' weakness is discovered (wasp noises), the spiders are lured into buckets filled with deadly alcohol. Even after a bit of a hiccup in the plan, it all pans out well.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Wasp noises will send them into a fearful catatonia.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-It's not quite the full-scale invasion like the one Shatner faced, but it's a bit close. A pity this invasion had such an exploitable weakness.

Trivia: -There's a reason the tarantulas practically froze in fear upon hearing wasp noises. The tarantula hawk wasp gets its name from how it paralyzes the spiders, and lays its eggs in their catatonic bodies. It's rather unpleasant.
